We have no experience with wood and have never carried out an application on this type of support, however:

• If you plan to apply our CoolRoof to wood, you must prepare the surface properly, including applying a special wood undercoat ready for acrylic paint (after lightly sanding and dusting the wood to remove any roughness).
• Indeed, without proper preparation, our coating may not adhere well. In addition, wood tends to absorb moisture, which could eventually cause it to peel off, so preparing the surface is very important.
• Our product has interesting characteristics for application on wood : Acrylic base, impermeability to liquid water and UV and weather resistance (which protects the wood), water vapor permeability (which allows the wood to “breathe” and prevents mold or moisture problems), flexibility that allows it to accommodate the expansion of materials (wood is particularly prone to this)
